Boundary Waters Canoe Area and the Quetico Park represent some
of the best canoeing areas in the world. Both areas combined
total about 15,000 square miles and are comprised of hundreds of drinking water lakes, sparkling rapids
and magnificent waterfalls.
These areas are for paddling,
camping, fishing and exploring. There are no roads, 98% of the
lakes are paddle only, fishing is tremendous for small mouth bass, walleye,
northern pike, and lake trout.
To keep this beautiful country from becoming over
crowded, the U.S. and Canadian governments have imposed a daily
quota system on each entry point to these wilderness areas.
Consequently, in order to paddle the BWCA or Quetico Park,
